For the past few weeks it has not been possible to update and publish this blog.  John’s internet connection had been down and it took several weeks to rectify.  For this reason we want to apologize to all our readers if they have missed our mailings.

Many people, Christians included, criticize our approach and method of evangelism.  What we do does not attract many converts and our critics often say, “No one is listening,” as the vast majority of people just walk by without stopping to listen and declining the offer of a leaflet.  Of course other groups do come out and get crowds by performing to them using contemporary Rap songs and Street Dance.  They even succeed in attracting unbelieving youth into their buildings and joining them in fellowship.  However these groups only target young people and persuade them that by repeating a so-called “Sinner’s Prayer” this makes them a Child of God, that they are born again and thus “Saved”.

This is a message that was never preached and/or taught in the New Testament hence it is a false Gospel and is not the message that we are called to preach.

If people show little (or no) interest in our preaching, does that mean that what we are doing is ineffective or counterproductive?  I am reminded of what God said to the prophet Ezekiel concerning his preaching; that the people would not listen to what he had to say.

We are convinced that the preaching of the Gospel is the means that God has ordained through which people will be saved and though it may seem foolishness to some we remain undeterred by our critics.

Please continue to uphold us in your prayers.

Thank you!
